How to find a lost or stolen Android phone

Is your Android phone lost or stolen and you don’t know what to do? Here’s the right app for you : Android Lost

Android phones are very popular today, but unfortunately a lot of them get lost or stolen. There are some app that try to protect your phone, but you need to setup them ahead.

This app will help you even if you haven’t setup it before. What you need is just your Google account and a bit of luck.

The first step is to go to Google Play website and using your Google account install the app:

If your phone is connected and Google Play still setup with it will automatically install the app. That’s  all you need to do on the device.

All the remaining actions will be done on the Android Lost website.

You need to go to the following link:

http://www.androidlost.com

and login using your Google account. It will require to give some permissions.

After you did that you just click on Controls and you’ll get the screen to control your device.

It has a lot of features, but the most important ones are:

  • Read SMS
  • Read Call list
  • View on map the location
  • Get a front camera photo
  • Send a message to the phone
  • Read phone status
  • Wipe or lock the phone
  • Erase SD Card

 

I tried a bit and it’s really amazing what it can do.
