AutoHideSoftKeys

A lot of Android devices today have just soft keys like Nexus ones. They use part of the screen to display them. Here’s an app that will automatically hide them when we don’t need : GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys

The app is very simple to use, but it includes quite few parameters you can configure.

The first parameter is Enabled and it will enable the app and hide the soft keys. It requires root permissions to work.

You can show the app in the notification bar, start on boot. Some of this properties are available only in the pro version.

To show the soft keys you just need to swipe up on the red area at the bottom. You can choose position, width and sensitivity of that area.

You can choose theme to customize the soft keys. I tested it all and there are really nice ones.

You can also customize size, transparency, spacing, etc. I suggest to play with it.

It’s a nice little utility that will help you to get the maximum screen size for your Android device.
